MLK and the fight for Life

Sunday was National Sanctity of Life Day. It happens every year, on the closest Sunday to January 22, when the Supreme Court legalized abortion nationwide in Roe v. Wade.

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.

Both of these causes—pro-life and civil rights—hinge on the fact that God made each of us and loves us all. He expects us to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. As Martin Luther King, Jr. heroically fought for the rights of African-Americans, let us fight for the unborn children who are being ruthlessly murdered through abortion. Just do what God wants you to.

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
